Tuition grants to enable white children to attend segregated
schools have been a principal means of evading public school
integration. In recent months, federal courts have struck
down such laws in La., S.C., and Miss. Today's decision
striking down Va's tuition grant law is an important victory
which will cut off taxpayers' support of all-white private
schools.
