RICHMOND, VA,---Federal Court injunctions requiring school desegregation
in Brunswick and Hanover Counties were sought here today by the NAACP
Legal Defense and Educational Fund. The suits followed action last week a
against six other counties, and are part of a state-wide campaign. Rights
attorneys asked that discrimination with respect to students, teachers, and
administrative personnel; and that school construction designed to
perpetuate segregation be forbidden. Brunswick County is the home
Governor Albertus Harrison.
