As always lt does me good to hear from you. I thought you
would get some relnforcement and some inspiration from a copy of
Judge Thompsonrs recent opinion. His opinion is now the law ln
Plckens County! P1ease note for example, orl Page 23, that Judge
Thompson emphasizes that bfack voters can recelve asslstance
whenever they need it fron whomever they choose. The guestion
remaine, however, how to make this work. The court 1s asking for
suggestlons on how to enforce this voter assistance provlsl.on,
lncluding ldeas on standards and training for poll offlcials.
