RE: Bozeman & Wilder

Dear Tony:

I enclose a copy of the district court opinion and order
appointing VanZbtta and me counsel, authorLzLng paynent
ot'ort fe6s and some of our exPenses. The Court disallows
all of uy travel exPenses on the gfgun+ thaE petitioners
could have hired l-otal counsel-. ftris is consistent with
a restrictive local- rule in the Middle District of Alabama
in"i"-il -protribirng outside counsel from titigating civil
rigfrtr caies only.- Do you Ehink there is a basis for
ctrlltenging eithlr the tourt' s order or the loca1 rul-e
(copy attached) ?

I also enclose a copy of Ehe respondents' reply brief to
our response to theii 60(b) motion, their request filed
in the Lourt of Appeals not to take any action pending-a
i"ti"e on itt"ir O'O?U) motion, and the_ Court of Appeals'
oia.i"a"nying our motion to disniss the appeaL as untimely'

Please call me at your earliest convenience Co discuss the
