Ihe worde "illegal or fraudulent', ae
used in thle section are merely descriptive
of the intent neceseary for the iommissilon of
the offense. Wilder v. State, 401 So. 2d 151
(Ala. Crim. App.), cert. denied, 401 So. 2d 162
(Ala.), cert. denied, 454 U.S. 105?, 102 S. Ct.
606, 70 L. Ed. 2d 595 (1981).
Clearly, the language of this section reflecte
a common understanding that ,.illegal or
fraudulent voting,' is voting more than one
ballot for the same ofiice, or attempting to vote
when one is not entitled to do so. This section
thus gives due notiee of the criminal conee-
quences of such action. Wilder v. State, 401 So.
2d 15f (Ala. Crim. App.), cert. denied,4Ol So.
2d 167 (Ala.), cert. denied, 484 U.S. 1OSZ, tO2
