Bolden, et al., U.S. Supreme Court No. 77-1844 Dear Mr. Schnapper: You have asked for our consent to an extension of time for the filing of briefs in City of Mobile, Alabama v. Bolden, No. 77-1844, on the ground that this case will be argued on the same day as Williams v. Brown No. 78-357 and that, therefore the Mobile briefing should be completed at the same time as in Williams. We do not consent to the precise schedule you propose, but we will consent to a schedule which comports more closely to the goal of a coordinated briefing schedule; namely that the Appel- lants' Briefs in both cases be filed on the same day and that Appellees' Briefs be filed on the same day. Adopting the Williams schedule, the dates would be: Appellants' Briefs in Mobile and in Williams: December 14, 1978 Appellees' Briefs in Mobile and in Williams: January 15, 1979 Sincerely, Charles S. Rhyn CSR:djg cc: Michael Rodak, Jr.
