Yes. I am the State Director of LULAC (Statewide) in Texas.

how have you become familiar with the membership statistics? 

As State Director of LULAC, I am familiar with the membership 

of the organization in the various counties in Texas. We maintain 

membership records, which I have reviewed. Also, I have visited 

with members of LULAC in many counties in Texas.

I have become familiar with the concerns of our members by 

meeting with them and by the various positions that our 

organization has taken over the years.

Yes.

What is the interest of your members in this lawsuit? 

LULAC and its local councils have been involved in voting 

rights lawsuits for several years. Our members do not wish to have 

their votes diluted. They seek an election system that does not 

disfavor them because of their race or ethni
