CONSENT ORDER GRANTING TO MARION COUNTY
SCHOOL DISTRICT AUTHORITY TO CONSTRUCT,
OPERATE AND MAINTAIN ADDITIONS TO ITS
EXISTING VOCATIONAL-TECHNICAIL CENTER
By agreement of the parties, the Court finds as
follows, to wit:

That the defendant, Marion County School District,
desires to construct two additions to its existing Vocational=~
Technical Center, pursuant to plans and specifications to be
prepared by Stephen H. Blair, Jr., Architect, of Hattiesburg,
Mississippi, which additions would be of the following character:
(a) Building Number One, the business
occupation building is 40! wide and 95' long and
contains one room for typing and office practice
classes, one room for office machines and accounting
classes, and the usual auxiliary areas are provided.
The total square footage of the building is 4,000
square feet.
(b) Building Number Two, is 40' wide and
93! 8" long with a health occupation area containing
one room for licensed practical nurses training, one
room for nurses and training and one laboratory
designed for practical application teaching. The
square footage of this area is 4,000 square feet.

That defendant, Marion County School District, has
presented its proposal to the plaintiff, United States of
America, for its consideration pursuant to the orders of
this Court. Plaintiff has reviewed the matter and does not
desire to enter any objection and desires to enter into this
Consent Order so that construction may be initiated.

That said proposed construction will not affect the
desegregation of the Marion County School System and will not
promote the recurrence of the dual system.

That by agreement of the parties hereto the defendant,
Marion County School District, should be granted authority to
construct, operate and maintain the proposed additions to its
Vocational~Technical Center in substantial compliance with the
plans and specifications of Stephen H. Blair, Jr., Architect,
of Hattiesburg, Mississippi.
BY AGREEMENT of the parties, IT IS ORDERED AND
ADJUDGED that the Marion County School District be and it
is hereby granted authority to construct, operate and main-
tain two additions to its Vocational-Technical Center in
substantial compliance with the dimensions set forth in
numerical paragraph I hereof, and in substantial compliance
with the plans and specifications for said additions as
prepared and to be prepared by Stephen H., Blair, Jr.,
Architect, of Hattiesburg, Mississippi.
ORDERED AND ADJUDGED on this the 29th gay or
