The North Carolina Reapportionment Working Group

Steve Suitts DATE: December L7, 1981

Proposed Meeting on Saturday, January 9

It appears we need to sit down in the early part of
January to have a thorough discussion of several itens in-
cluding the strategy and discovery of our court litigation.
After checking with a few of the Southerners, I am suggesting
that we meet on Saturday, January 9, in Charlotte, North
Carolina, and be prepared to stay for a meeting of four or
five hours. It makes sense that we try to get together by
the mlddle of Saturday morning and folks can depart by late
afternoon. If this is an acceptable date, check your travel
schedules and let rne know what is a good starting tine for
you.

If the 9th cannot be pulled off, it nay.be possible
that we should consider the sth of January.

Let me hear from you soon.
