Cassibry and Robert F. Collins, sitting as a three-
judge court.
The Court finds that the congressional reapportionment
plan adopted by the Louisiana Legislature (Act
+ as amended, 42 UeS.C.
Act 20 impermissibly results in dilution of minority
voting strength.
Accordingly, IT IS DECLARED THAT Act 20 is illegal and
unenforceable, ang the defendants, their agents, officers,
Successors, and anyone acting in concert with them are enjoined
from taking any action to enforce its provisions, including any
election of members of the United States House of Representatives.
VATE OF FATRY
IT IS FURTHER ORDERED THAT the parties appear before this
Court on February 6, 1984 at 10:00 a.m., so that the Court may
consider what remedy is appropriate in this case.
