Jack Greenberg, Director-Counsel of the NAACP Legal Defense 
and Education fund, Inc. will brief reporters on the content 
and purpose of New York City's first city-wide Slum Housing 
Conference for lawyers and representatives of lay organiza- 
tions interested in improving slum housing. 

The press conference will be held Saturday, October 15, at 
11:00 a.m. in the Case Room on the 7th floor of Columbia 
University School of Law at 116th Street and Amsterdam Avenue. 

Mr, Greenbetg will be joined by conference chairman Arthur 
Murphy, Professor of Law at Columbia University. 

Reporters wishing to question other discussion leaders may 
do so immediately following the press conference,
