FOUNDATION ThirtyTwo Grand Street, Hartford, CT 06106 203/247-9823 Fax 203/728-0287 October 28, 1992 Mr. John Whelan Assistant Attorney General MacKenzie Hall 110 Sherman Street Hartford, C7 06105 RE: Sheff v. O'Neill Dear John, I am writing to confirm our agreement on comparable hourly rates for outside experts identified since your letter of June 2. These rates are incorporated by reference into paragraph 3 of the Order Governing Depositions of Expert Witnesses. Plaintiffs’ Experts m. Gary Natriello -- $110/hour n. William Gordon -- $130/hour o. Robert Slavin -- $110/hour Defendants’ Experts g. Michael Levin -- $110/hour h. John Flynn -- $110/hour To this date, my records indicate that only Christopher Collier has been paid. It is my understanding that we have agreed to total the amounts owed by both sides for depositions, and that the state (or plaintiffs) will then pay the net amount due in one check. Please call me when you are ready to do this. Sincerely, la Philip D. Tegeler Attorney for Plaintiffs PDT/dmt CC: All Counsel The Connecticut Civil Liberties Union Foundation 5
