Re: Bolden v. City of Mobile; Attorneys' Fee Appeal
Dear Armand: :
Pursuant to the agreement Ed Still and I made with you by
telephone a week ago, I am forwarding to you our escrow
check No. 1840 in the amount of $1000.00 as the retainer,
we agreed to advance you for representing us in the attorneys
fee appeal. I am still waiting to hear from you about the
final terms of our fee arrangement before setting it all out
in writing. If I don't hear from you beforehand, I will see
you when I bring the family to Charleston during the week of
August 15.
By the way, the most recent CCH supplement contains Common-
wealth of Pennsylvania v. O'Neill, 14 EPD § 7699 (E.D. Pa 1977),
where attorneys were awarded a one-third bonus because of the
contingency nature of their Title VII case.
Best regards.
