RE: Darby Township

Dear Mr. Smith:

I write to remind you to send me the information we discussed at
the March 16, 1987 meeting in your office. My notes indicate
that you would forward copies of the pleadings in an earlier
federal case complaining of unegual rnunicipal service in Darby
Township. You also were to send me any information you could
retrieve on the state legislation enacted in the late seventies
or early eighties which elininated the super najority threshold
for passing certain types of township laws.

f am leaving April 30 on maternity Ieave. In my absencer you
should send the inforrnation directly to rny colleague, Pam Karlan.

I enjoyed meeting your clients and Professor Rhyner. I look
forward to working with you on this or some other matter in the
future.
