Defendants-Appellants.

EMERGENCY MOTION TO AMEND COURT'S 1/11/90 ORDER GRANTING STAY

NOW COMES Defendant-Appellant George SS. Bayoud, JT.

("Bayoud"), and respectfully files this, his Emergency Motion to

Amend this Court’s 1/11/90 Order Granting Stay, and in support

thereof would show as follows:

1. This Honorable Court, by Order dated January 11, 1990,

stayed Judge Bunton’s Order of January 2, 1990.

2. Judge Bunton entered a modified Order on January 11,

1890.

3. We believe this Court’s Order granting Stay legally

encompasses any modifications of the January 2, 1990 Order.

However, inasmuch as Friday, January 12, 1990, is the last day for

certifying candidates for the ballot for our upcoming primary

election, Secretary of State George S. Bayoud, Jr., as Chief

Election Officer of the State of Texas, respectfully moves this

Honorable Court, out of an abundance of caution and for precise

clarity, to amend its 1/11/90 Order of Stay to specifically include

Judge Bunton’s modified Order of January 11, 1990.

WHEREFORE, PREMISES CONSIDERED, Defendant-Appellant George S.

Bayoud, Jr. respectfully prays this Court grant this Motion.

Respectfully submitted,
