Re: Garner v. Memphis

I have enclosed an original and ten (10) copies for 
filing and service upon defendants of the complaint in 
the Garner suit. The Legal Defense Fund has agreed to 
support this litigation by advancing costs and attorneys 
fees* the latter payments being made pursuant to our 
traditional arrangement with cooperating attorneys of 
$50/day for indcffice work and $100/day for out-of
office work. Insofar as procedures for reimbursement 
are concerned* I have enclosed a copy of Jack Greenberg's 
1973 memorandum on this matter and a few reimbursement 
forms.
I look forward to an exciting collaborative effort with 
you with respect to this litigation.
