DISTRICT OF WISCONSIN: ENJOINS TOWNE REAL TYs INC.s MITH HEADQUARTERS
IN HILMAUKEEs FROM DENYING ANY DWELLING TO ANY PERSON BECAUSE OF RACE
OR COLORs BARS DISCRIMINATION IN THE CONDITIONS OF SALE OR
FINANCINGs AND PROHIBITS THE COMPANY FROM ENGAGING IN RACIAL
STEERINGs - THE PRACTICE OF STEERING BLACK BUYER T@ BLACK NETGHBOR-
HOGDS AND WHITE PURCHASERS TO WHITE NEIGHBORHOODS.
THE DECREE ALSO PROHISITS DIRECT CANVASSING OF WHITE RESIDENTS
LIVING IN INTEGRATED OR TRANSITIONAL NEIGHBORHOODS THAT ISs THE USE
OF HAIL: TELEPHONE OR PERSONAL SOLICITATION TO @NDUCE PANICK SELLING
AND FACILITATE THE CREATION OF SEGREGATED HOUSING PATTERNS.
THE COURT-APPROVED AGREEMENT ADDITIONALLY CALLS FOR A STRONG
AFFIRMATIVE ACTION PROGRAN INCLUDING AVAILABILITY OF LISTINGS WITHOUT
