Come now the defendants, Methodist Hospital of Gary, Inc., 

and Denis E. Ribordy, by counsel, and move the Court pursuant 

to Federal Rules of Civil Procedure, Rule 6(b) for enlargement

of time in which to plead or otherwise respond to the plaintiffs’ 

Complaint herein for a period of thirty (30) days, to and including 

July 6, 1977. In support of their Motion, the defendants demon- 

strate to the Court that their co-defendant, Joseph Califano, as 

Secretary of Health, Education and Welfare, is not required to 

responsively plead in this matter until on or after July 6, 1977 

pursuant to Federal Statute and in further support of their Motion, 

defendants demonstrate to the Court that this enlargement will not 

prejudice the plaintiffs or any of the various other defendants in 

this matter.
