AFFIDAVIT OF BLACK COMMITTEE
Personally appeared before me, the undersigned authority
in and for the jurisdiction aforesaid, the within named
Garfield Triplett, Robert Lee Jackson, Leon Tate, and Rev.
J. W. Hunter, all being leaders of the black or Negro Connanity
of Noxubee County, Mississippi, each of whom by me first being
duly sworn, on oath, depose and say: That they, along with
Rev. W. B. Pennington, also a leader of the black or Negro
community, as shown by a motion, which motion is to be filed in
the United States District Court of the Southern District of
Mississippi by William Bradley et al, upon authorization of
William Bradley, et al, have served as a committee that formulated
the Alternative School Desetregation Plan, the same which was
filed in this court on or about June 5. 1970, and that having
formulated said Alternative Plan of Desegregation of the
schools of Noxubee County, Mississippi, that they understand
same and urgently request that this Hynorable Court
approve same, as requested by the motion of said jntervenors,
to be filed in this court, as aforesaid.
