Statement by Jack Greenberg, Director-Counsel,
NAACP Legal Defense and Educational Fund, Inc.
September 19, 1968
NAACP Legal Defense and Educational Fund, Inc. (LDF) attorneys
will now go ahead with previous litigation plans across the
southern district of Mississippi as a result of the U.S. Fifth
Circuit Court of Appeals ruling today. Emphasis will be
employment and education cases under direction of LDF Mississippi
Director Reuben Anderson and his colleagues, who are now free to
utilize the national legal talent and resources of the LDF in
behalf of Mississippi: Negroes.
