opportunity to nake a record on the continued need for the Act
in North Carolina.
I am prepared to wrlte the testimony, but I need aome help

to send ne on the lnlnts you made to the B1ack Caucue Friday
nlght? I an partlcularly interested ln the pre-I967 shenanigans
and the prescnt aetlvity (post 1975) to keep blacks out (e.9.,
the Congresslonal and Eouae reapportlonnent) .
