Dear Larry:
I am in receipt of your letter of llarch L9, 1986 in
which you request reimbursement for expenses incurred
in Harris v. Graddick and ltlgjor v. Treen. I under-
staili-:EhEt caIffifrhese d$Eses Eas Eecome a burden
for you and propose the following arrangement.
With regard to l"lajor v. Treen, in which you are repre-
senting LDF as well as prj-vate attorneys in the effort
to recover attorney feesr w€ are prepared to reimburse
you in full for expenses. Therefore, I enclose a check
for $7,298.27 which represents payment in fulI of all
expenses incurred to date.
with regard to Harris v. Graddick, I propose that LDF
reimburse you for the following expenses:
Notice of appeal, docketing fees,
court and court reporter fee $2670.56
Expert witness and consultant fee 5314.90
TotaI $798s.46
Because of our accounting procedures, LDF will send you
two separate checks for each line item. The first check
for $2670.56 will be available within the next few weeks.
The second check for $5314.90 will be requisitioned in
late May or early June.
I hope this arrangement reduces somewhat the burden to your
office of carrying these expenses.
