Dear Jim, Bill and Steve:

I am only beginning to unwind from the last two weeks.

Each morning, I wake up ready to cross-examine the

Governor. I miss the sense of directedness and pur-

posefulness that consumed all of us, as life returns

to complicate and confuse me.

I am writing to thank you all for being such a wonder-

ful trial team. I am proud to have been associated

with the Donald Duck killers. You all made me work

harder and feel more confident than I have felt before

on the eve of «trial.

We really cooked their goose. Tonight, I'm leaving

early to eat the duck we roasted last week. I'm sure

it will be better on my plate than on the map of New

Orleans.

T will call later this week to begin to get organized

for the post-trial brief. What do you think of each of

us being responsible for reading the transcript Of our

own witnesses and then sending me a summary of salient

points?

It was a genuine pleasure working with each of you. I

look forward to finishing the job we began last week.

Thank you and congratulations on a job well done.

Please send me a copy of the newspaper clip-
pings on the trial. Also, if you can find a
way in the future to give LDF credit in the
press, it will help me in speeding up reimburse-
ments and insuring that there is still money in
the budget. Thanks.
