ORDER 

On this date, this Court entered its Order denying the 

Motions to Continue filed by the State Defendants and Defendant 

Judge Entz in the above-captioned cause. After this Court’s Order 

was signed and entered, this Court received a conference call which 

included counsel for all the parties to this case. It was apparent 

to the Court that all parties were not ready to proceed to trial, 

and would not be ready by the July 11, 1989 trial setting. 

Accordingly, 

IT IS ORDERED that this Court’s previous Order be rescinded 

nunc pro tunc.

IT IS FURTHER ORDERED that the Order Relative to Pretrial 

be amended as follows: 

l. Discovery must be complete by September 5, 1989. 

2. The Pretrial Order must be filed by September 11, 1989. 

3. The trial is set for September 18, 1989 at 9:00 a.m. 

C.D.T. No further delays will be permitted or endured. Neither 

the death of counsel, the parties, nor the Honorable Judge of this  



  

Court will warrant continuance of this cause from this revised 

trial setting. In the event of the death of the Judge, his will 

shall contain a request to the Chief Judge of the Fifth Circuit to 

designate someone to conduct this trial yithout any delay.
