LEGAL DEFENSE FUND CALLS
CONFERENCE OF NAACP LAWYERS
February 6, 1963
NEW YORK -- A working conference of NAACP attorneys will be held
February 15-17 at the Howard University Law School in Washington,
D. C., it was announced today by Jack Greenberg, Director-Counsel
of the Leqal Defense and Educational Fund.
The conference will deal particularly with a discussion of
the President's Housing Order, Labor Board Proceedings, health
facilities, and voting cases.
The sessions will begin at noon, February 15th, and end Sunday
afternoon, February 17th. Approximately 80 lawyers, primarily from
southern States, are expected to attend.
Roy Wilkins, Executive Secretary of the National Association
for the Advancement of Colored People, will address the group at
noon, February 16th. He
