Lambert, Executive Secretary, National Education Association, and Jack Greenberg, Director-Counsel, NAACP Legal Defense and Educational Fund, Inc., Thursday, February 8, 1968. The South-wide joint legal effort of the DuShane Fund of the National Education Association and the Legal Defense Fund in behalf of Negro teachers won a significant victory today in the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals in Richmond, Va., in the case of the North Carolina Teachers Association v. the City of Asheboro Board of Education. This represents an encouraging legal accomp-— lishment for the scores of Negro educators across the South who face job displacement as their students move on to integrated classrooms. NEA and the LDF will intensify their joint campaign in 20 test cases across the South. RELEASED TO: AP,UPI - Richmond, Va. AP - Charlotte, N.c. WY 1 ees Contributions are deductible for U.
