Results of a survey “On the Frequency of Appearance of Negroes on Tele- 

vised Commercials" shown during sporting events, will be released here 
wednesday morning, August 23, at 11:00 a.m. at the Overseas Press Club, 

" ef ed Street by the NAACP Legal Defense and Educational Fund, 

ne. (LDF). 

It is the first survey of this specific focus. 

Announcement of a request for an “investigation by the Federal Com- | 

munications Commission of the possibility of racial bias in the produc- 

tion and broadcast of television commercials" will also be made. | 

Spokesmen at the press conference will be Bill White of the Philadelphia 

Phillies; Claude "Buddy" Young, former star of the football Yankees, 

now an executive with the National Football League; Dr. Lawrence Plotkin | 

of the Social Dynamics Research Institute, City University of New York; 

Gustav Heningburg, assistant to the president of the Legal Defense Fund. |
