MEMORANDUM NOTICE TO ALL COUNSEL OF RECORD 

No. 28030 - USA v. Hinds County School Board 
28042 - Beatrice Alexander, et al 

v. Holmes County Bd. of 
Education, et al 

Dear Sirs: 

This is to confirm my advice in our earlier tele- 
phone conversations today with Mr, David Norman, 
Mr. Melvyn Zarr and Mr, John Satterfield, of the 
Court's instruction for counsel to be present here 
in New Orleans for a pre-order conference (no 
argument on the merits) at 2:00 P.M, this next 
Thursday afternoon, November 6, 

Counsel for the Justice Department (Mr. David 
Norman) has been requested to bring Dr, Anrig or 
someone from the Office of Education (HEW), and 
he will also arrange in advance to have the con- 
erence recorded and transcribed, 

Counsel for appellees (Mr, John Satterfield) has 
been requested to have all of the Mississippi 
School Board Superintendents (33 districts) present. 

Please acknowledge receipt.
