Dear Jo-Anne:
I received your letter of Eebruary 12, 1986.
I am delighted to learn of your referendum
campaign in New Brunswick, although I have
misgivings about replacing the at-Iarge system
with a mixed system rather than a single mem-
ber districting pIan. Please feel free to call
me to discuss these concerns. In any event,
LDF does not endorse campaigns such as yours,
and, l, therefore, regret my inability to help
you at this time.

If, after your campaign, it is necessary to take
the matter to court, please let me hear from you
immediately.

Thank you for keeping me informed of your plans.
