54 Feb. 4, 1971 Statement by Jack Greenberg, Director—-Counsel NAACP Legal Defense and Educational Fund, Inc. "Julius Chambers has had his home and car dynamited, his office burned; his father's auto repair business has been burned down twice within the last year. Julius Chambers and his law firm are without a doubt the most effective legal force for change in the entire South. They have represented the Legal Defense Fund and our causes since Mr. Chambers left us in 1964 as an LDF intern to set up practice in Charlotte. We intend to give him all assistance possible so that he can be returned to fully operating condition immediately." =80-
