Conference of Black PoIitical Scientists on rrscholarship and
Brack Political Empowerment. rr rt was especialry gratifying thatyou followed up so promptly on our LDF lunch [end-runtr and
included an invitation to NcoBPS to join with LDF and the Joint
center to pursue the probrem of expanding the pool of brack
social scientists who participate as expert witnesses or research
resources in voting cases.

r hope we can forrow up on this project before r reave LDF in
June or thereafter, as of July L, 1988, in a less direct woy,
when r join the raw school faculty at the university or
Pennsyrvania. Prease give me a carl lt et2) 219-1900 at your
earliest convenience to discuss our mutual interest in Ltris
