NOTICE OF A P P E A L

Notice is hereby given that A llen  Park Public Schools, et al, Grosse 

Pointe Public Schools, Southfield Public Schools and the School D istrict for the 

City of Royal Oak, Defendant-Intervenors above named, hereby appeal to the 

United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit from  the following orders 

and rulings declared final judgments by the D istrict Court under Fed. R. Civ.

P. 54(b) on July 20, 1972:

1. Ruling on Issue of Segregation, September 27, 1971;

2. Ruling on Propriety  of Considering a Metropolitan Remedy

to Accomplish Desegregation of the Public Schools of the City of Detroit, March 

24, 1972;

3. Findings of Fact and Conclusions of Law on Detroit-only Plans 

of Desegregation, March 28, 1972;

4. Ruling on Desegregation A rea  and Development of Plan, and
