Re: State of Georgia -v- William Henry Furman

Dear Jack:

Please be advised that 1 forwarded the Brief, Enu-
meration-of-Errors and the Opinion in the above captioned

case to your office on April 30, 1969 which I am sure

you are in receipt of at this time. . In the last cor-

respondence that I had with your office I indicated that

1'was filing a motion for a re-hearing, but as a second

thought I decided that rather than waste time filing a

petition for re-hearing I would simply file a petition

to Stay the Enforcement of the Judgment of the Supreme
Court therefore, allowing ample time in which to file

a petition for Certiorari.in the Supreme Court of the

United

I am enclosing herewith a copy of this petition for

your record.

With best wishes and kind regards, I remain.

Respectfully yours,

B. £LLARENCE MAYFIELD
