Notice is hereby given that Plaintiffs Martin Cromartie, Thomas Chandler Muse, Joel
Bourne, and Lois Weaver. hereby appeal to the Supreme Court of the United States from the
three-judge District Court's March 8, 2000 Judgment and the March 7. 2000 order ruling that
although North Carolina's First Congressional District was predominantly race-based, it survived
strict scrutiny and may be used in future elections.
This appeal is taken pursuant to 28 U.S.C. § 1253.
