dollars per day each for every day's service, b.v the

perlorm their duties at euch election according to law,
to the best of their iudgment, and the inspeotorg must
also swear that they will not themselves, or knowingly
allow any other person to compare the nurnber of ballots.
with the number ol votes enrolled, which oath may be
administered by the inspectors to each other or by the
returning oflicer, or a juatiee of the pe&ce.

be opened at each plncc of voting in each precinct be-
tween the hours of seven and eight, in the moroing,
and be kept openl without interrniseion or adjournment,
until the trour of six in the afbernoon, and no longer.
