Professor Richard Engstron Department of Politicaf Science Ilniversfty of New Orleans-New Orleans, f,e 7Ot48 - Dear Professor Engstrom: I an enclosing the latest letter and statistics from the Census Bureau regarding the population of Phillips County. As you will see, it's not incredibly helpful at providing a breakdown. My sense is that if you can do the analysis with a fajr degree of reliability using the data you alreaciy have, lou should begin. We have gotten an extension of discovery, both because it's taken so long to get the census data and because the defenciants have not provided the discovery we sought from them. So if you start fairly soon and finish by around Labor Day, I think that wiil be fine. P.iease caf f me if there are any problems. Sincerely, A'- Pame)a S.
