Dear Gordon: 

Please accept my apology for our failure to reimburse 
you all your out of pocket expenses. I am certainly glad 
you wrote me directly. I was not previously aware that 
your bill was outstanding. It must have gotten lost in 
the mail between Louisiana and New York. 

I have requested expedited payment of your bill. You 
should receive a check within the next ten days. 

Thank you for bearing with us. Of course, we will let 
you know what the court decides. I have renewed confidence 
based on Marty's post-trial brief in which he relies on 
newspaper editorials, appended to his brief but not part: of 
the record, to try to rebut your computer analysis. I guess 
that's what you do when you don't have the facts or the law. 

We had a great trial team, ardno matter what the out- 
come, it was fun working with you.
