We are the attorneys for the plaintiffs in this civil action
pending in federal court in Montgomery. You, the county, the
circuit clerk and the sheriff are defendants and should have been
served by now with a summons and a copy of the amended
complaint. Although we are addressing this letter to you, it is
intended for all of these named defendants in your county.
As soon as you have designated counsel to represent the
defendants in your county, please let your lawyers know that we
are anxious to communicate with them as quickly as possible to
discuss the status of this litigation and any possibility of an
early and cost-efficient settlement.
