MOTION TO SHORTEN TIME TO RESPOND TO
PLAINTIFFS ' THIRD DISCOVERY REQUESTS

Plaintiffs move the Court to shorten the time for

defendant counties to respond to plaintiffs’ third discovery

requests, copies of which are attached to this motion. As

grounds for their motion, plaintiffs would show that this Court

has scheduled the trial of this action for Wednesday, July 23,

1986, with a pretrial conference on July 16 and discovery cutoff

on July 16. The time should be shortened to enable plaintiffs to

respond to the responses with Rule 37 motions, if necessary, or

with additional discovery, such as depositions of expert

witnesses.

WHEREFORE, plaintiffs pray that the Court will shorten

the time for responses to plaintiffs’ third discovery request to

Pickens County, Lawrence County, Calhoun County, Talladega

County, Etowah County and Coffee County to June 30, 19886.

Respectfully submitted this 13 gay Of June, 19886.
