LEGAL DEFENSE FUND CALLS CONFERENCE 
OF NAACP LAWYERS 

February 26, 1962 

NEW YORK - Jack Greenberg, Director-Counsel of the NAACP Legal 

Defense and Educational Fund, Inc., announced today that a work- 

ing conference will be held March 2-4 at the Columbia University 

Law School of northern and border state NAACP lawyers. 

The conference will deal with civil rights problems, 

Mr. Greenberg said. 

The sessions will begin at noon, March 2, and end 

Sunday morning, March 4. Approximately seventy lawyers are 

expected to attend. 

Roy Wilkins, Executive Secretary of the National Associa- 

tion for the Advancement of Colored People, will address the 

group at 12:30 P.M. Saturday afternoon.
