FIFTH CIRCUIT 

RULE 29. 

A petition for rehearing may be presented only within twenty-one days 

after entry of judgment (date opinion rendered), unless by special leave 

granted by the Court, or one of the Judges. Twenty copies must be filed, 

accompanied by proof of service. It must be printed and must briefly and 

distinctly state its grounds without argument, be supported by certificate of 

counsel to the effect that it is presented in good faith and not for delay, and 

if petitioner desires, he may file a written brief in support. The petition will 

not be granted or permitted to be argued unless a majority of the Court so 

determines.
