Re: Sheff v. O’Neill: Status of LDF Work
As you know, the plaintiffs’ attorneys in Sheff are meeting this Wednesday. Since the
last meeting, I have sent our colleagues copies of meeting minutes and have sent Adam Cohen
our first batch of requests for admissions. I will also type my notes of our meeting with Bob
Crain and bring them to Hartford.
At the meeting, I will more than likely be asked about the following issues -- and would
find it helpful to discuss each with you beforehand:
1. Tnal Preparation: Specifically, what is the status of the fact memo’s
reorganization and development?
2. Budget: What is LDF’s commitment for 1991?
3. Remedial Experts: How much should they be paid? When will we, or the
community, be ready for the experts to begin the development of a plan?
4. The Files: When will they be ready for use?
In addition, you and I had discussed the need for a written policy or "protocol" to
govern communications. Will this be prepared by Wednesday?
Thanks for your attention to these questions.
