Mr. John P. Hehman, Clerk
U.S. Court of Appeals
Sixth Circuit
Post Office Building
Cincinnati, Ohio 45202

Re: Bradley, et al. vs.
Milliken, et al.
Civil Action No. 72-8002

Dear Mr. Hehman:
We have received a copy of Motion For Taxation

of Costs which we view as a motion to retax the costs in
the Court of Appeals. The Court of Appeals have previously
ruled that each side was to bear its own costs.

We received this application only from the State
of Michigan but we are advised that similar motions are
being prepared by other defendants. We respectfully request
that we be given 15 days from the receipt of the last such
motion in which to file our opposition with the Court. We,
of course, disagree with the argument advanced by the defen
dants .

Respectfully submitted,

LOUIS R. LUCAS,
Attorney for Ronald Bradley, et al.
