RE: Legislative Reapportionment Complaint

Enclosed is yet another draft of our Legj.slative Reapportj.onment
Complaint. Please let me hear from you by Wednesday, Augrust 26,
1981 with any comments you might have. I have tried to include
everything we discussed. I assume that each of you will have
some constructi-ve criticism.

The Charlotte Observer has been bugging me about the contents
of this lawsuit. I held fast in not telling them the nature of
it although I did admit to workj.ng on a complaint. I told them
that I would not discuss the nature of the complaint until it
was in final form and ready to be filed.

As a reminderr w€ agreed to meet again in Charlotte on September L5,
at 10:00 a.m. I look to see you all there.
