Re: Rufus L. Edmisten, et al.
No.83-1968

V. Ralph Gingles, €t aI.

Dear Mr. Stevas:

I represent Alan V. Pugh, et aI. in the above-captioned action.
We had requested the right to file a response to the jurisdictional
statement of Rufus Edmisten, et aI. on JuIy 19,1984. This request
was granted, giving us until August 17, 1984 to file any response we
may have. Our intervenors have elected to not file any response in
addition to that filed by Ralph Gingles, and wish to join in their
motion to dismiss or affirm and to adopt the same as our position in
this matter. We do not wish to file any additional materials at this
time. Shou1d the appeflee's motion to dismiss or affirm be denied,
we would like to continue to be informed of the status of this case
and to submit any briefs which are appropriate.

Thank you for your consideration in this matter.
