Dear Tom:
Enclosed is a set of documents submitted at a
symposJ.um on the ext,ension of the Voting Rights
Act, sponsored by the ABA and conducted by its
Special Committee on Election Law and voter
Participation. T,he symposium was for two days.
No representatives of the NAACP were present at
the symposium.
I mentioned to Steven Uhlfeder, P. O. Box 391,
Tallahassee, Florida 32302, that it was a mis-
take to not invite the NAACP.
You should perhaps follow up on this.
