Now come Defendants in the above-entitled action,
pursuant to the Order entered by Court on October 1I, 1984,
and indicate to the Court the following:
I. The U.S. Department of Justice, Civil Rights
Division, having interposed objection to House
Districts 8 and 70 on October 1, 1984, and mem-
bers of the delegation from former House District
8 choosing to present no alternative interim
districting plan to the Courtr ES indicated by
the attached Exhibit 90, the Defendants submit
no plan for the Courtrs consideration as an
alternative to Plaintiff's proposed interim
p1an.
2. Defendants are informed by Plaintiffs that
Plaintiffs intend to propose the election
schedule reflected by the attached Exhibit 91;
Defendants do not object to the entry of an
Order accepting Plaintiffs' proposed schedule.
