Dear Jim, Bilt and Steve:

I am onty beginning to unwind. from the last two weeks.
Each morning, I wake up ready to cross-examine the
Governor. I miss the sense of d.irectedness and pur-
posefulness that consumed aII of us, as life returns
to complicate and confuse me.

I am writing to thank you all for being such a wonder-
ful trial team. I am proud to have been associated
with the Donald Duck killers. You all made me work
hard,er and. feel more confident than I have felt before
on t.he eve of trial.

We really cooked. their goose. Tonight, Irm leaving
early to eat the duck we roasted. Iast week. Itm sure
it witr be better on my plate than on the map of New

Orleans.

I witl call later this week to begin to get organized
for the post-trial brief . what d.o you think of each of
us being responsible for reading the transcript of.our
own witnesses and then sending me a summary of salient.
points?

It was a genuine pleasure working with each of you' I
look forwird to finishing the job we began last week.
Thank you and congratulations on a job well done.
