ORDER

Ihis action is before the court on plaintiffE' motion

for an order establishing a permanent nethod of election for
the rePresentatives to the North Carolina House of Representatives

from Wilson, Edgecombe and Nash Counties. Ttrey seek to permanently

enjoin defendants to use ttre election districts adopted in
this court's order dated October 30, 1984.1 RuIe 62(c), F.R.Civ.p.

Defendants have notified the court that they do not intend

to file a response in opposition to the notion. Accordingly,

plaintiff'E unopposed notion is allowed, the court's injunction
of October 30, 1984 is continued in effect and defendants

are enjoined to use the election districts outlined therein

in connection with all elections to be held pending the appeal

of this action.

I fhat order required defendants to apply those districts
only for the elections for the 1985 Session of the North Carolina
General Assembly.
